The Board of Directors for The Lunchbox Project is a dedicated group of individuals who provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organization. Comprised of community leaders, philanthropists, and experts in relevant fields, the board is responsible for setting the overall direction and vision for The Lunchbox Project, ensuring its mission to provide nutritious meals to those in need is fulfilled. With a deep commitment to the cause, the board works tirelessly to secure resources, build partnerships, and make informed decisions that drive the organization's growth and impact.

Ted Wurfel
Ted Wurfel is a Professional Engineer and is involved in Safety, Environmental and Sustainability for the Oil and Gas Industry. He has worked for Western Midstream, El Paso Energy, Talisman, Tenneco, Indigo, Rockcliff and Chief Energy. He is excited to bring his project management skills to The Lunchbox Project and be part of feeding the homeless community in Houston and the surrounding areas.

Melissa Wurfel
Melissa Wurfel is a Registered Nurse and works at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Emergency Center. She has a long history of giving back to the Houston area community, and looks forward to continuing to do so with The Lunchbox Project.

Jack Wurfel
Jack Wurfel is a dedicated Risk Control Consultant at Lockton, where he specializes in identifying and mitigating potential risks for clients. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, Jack ensures that his clients businesses are well-protected and compliant with industry standards. Outside of his professional role, Jack and his wife Melissa are active parishoners at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and Spring Branch residents. Jack is also an avid runner, triathlete and hockey player.

Melissa Wurfel
Melissa Wurfel s a Transaction Coordinator at Transwestern Commercial Real Estate, where she plays a key role in marketing initiatives and project coordination. She also leads Transwestern’s Young Professionals Group, fostering career development and networking opportunities for emerging professionals in the industry. Passionate about community engagement, she is an active member of CREW Houston, dedicated to advancing women in commercial real estate. Melissa also devotes her time to mentoring child enrichment programs through Spring Spirit Mentoring in Houston. Additionally, she stays connected to her alma mater as a proud member of the Rebel Club, the University of Mississippi Alumni Organization. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, baking sourdough, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
